Managing Director, Chris Lewis, has worked in the sports turf industry for 32 years at a variety of venues in New Zealand, Australia, India and Europe. He has been a consultant for New Zealand Cricket, New Zealand Sports’ Turf Institute, and is currently Canterbury Metro Cricket’s Turf Advisor. Chris has experience in the design, construction, and maintenance of stadiums, council grounds, school grounds, cricket wickets, and golf courses. A pioneer in the industry, he was the first groundsman in New Zealand to construct portable wickets for use in international, one-day, and test cricket. As an experienced Stadium Manager, his company was awarded the Grounds Maintenance Contract of AMI Stadium in 2009. Following the earthquakes in 2011, Terrafirma Turf played an integral role in the design and build of the temporary AMI Stadium in Addington, which it continues to maintain.
